Glass Containers
Prohibited: The possession of glass beverage or glass
food containers on town-owned or operated beaches within the
town, or on beach access areas, the town-operated bathhouse, or
town parking areas is unlawful.

Dogs on the Beach:
Dogs are permitted on public beaches. The
owner/handler is responsible for and must remove feces and
possess a bag/container for waste removal at all times. From the
Friday before Memorial Day until the day after Labor Day between
the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. dogs must be on a leash
not exceeding 6 feet. At all other times during
the year, dogs must be restrained on a leash retractable to 12
feet. Dogs may be taken off the leash only if they will not
disturb other people on the beach. Unleashed dogs must be
controlled by the handler, who must remain within 30 feet of the
dog at all times. A leash must be with owner/handler at all
times.

Surfers to use
Leashes: If you surf in the Atlantic Ocean, you must
be attached to the board with a line capable of restraining the
board to you. The line must be no longer than twice the
length of the board.

Engine Powered
Watercraft: Launching prohibited. It is
unlawful to launch, land, or otherwise beach any engine-powered
watercraft from the beach in the town.

Vehicles on the
Beaches: Vehicles on the beaches are prohibited
except for
a) commercial fishermen holding a valid state commercial
fishermen's license when engaged in commercial fishing
activities
b) town and/or emergency vehicles

Fires on Beaches:
It shall be unlawful for any person to ignite, cause to
be ignited, or maintain a fire on the ocean beaches within the
town of Kitty Hawk.
