THE CURRITUCK CLUB Corolla,
888-453-9400, 252-453-9400; This Rees Jones designed
course features an exceptional range of natural beauty as
well as a breathtaking layout that stretches across 6,885
yards of diverse coastal terrain, including towering sand
dunes, wetlands, maritime forests, and soundside shoreline.
Tee times available 1 year in advance if renting in The
Currituck Club, 7 days in advance otherwise. Call for rates,
which range from $48 to $155.

DUCK WOODS COUNTRY CLUB Southern Shores, 252-261-2744; . A semi-private 18 hole, par 72,
Ellis Maples design that meanders through an array of canals
and greenery, this course is both visually stunning and
supremely challenging.

SEA SCAPE GOLF COURSE Kitty
Hawk, 252-261-2158; This 18-hole championship course,
designed by former Masters Champion Art Wall, winds around
the edge of the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest and provides a
beautiful view of the sea. Tee times available 1 year in
advance. Call for rates, which range from $45 off-season to
$95 in the summer.

NAGS HEAD GOLF LINKS 800-851-9404, 252-441-8073; US 158 Bypass, Milepost 15.
This 18-hole Scottish-style championship course, designed by
Bob Moore, combines the area’s natural windswept environment
with spectacular coastal scenery. In 1991 Golf Digest called
it “the longest 6,126 yards you'll ever play.” Tee times
available 1 year in advance. Call for rates ($45 to $110).
5. OCEAN EDGE GOLF COURSE
(Frisco, 252-995-4100). This 9-hole course is open year
round.
6. HOLLY RIDGE (1.5 miles north
of Wright Memorial Bridge), 252-491-2893) At 4,105 yards and
a par 63, this course is great for kids and beginners and
one of the best deals in the area.
7. KILMARLIC GOLF CLUB (3 miles
north of Wright Memorial Bridge), 252-491-4220; Host of the 2004 North
Carolina Open, this course sits among 605 acres of maritime
forest and sprawling wetlands, and is a true partnership
between golf and nature. Open year-round. Call for rates,
which range from $50 to $110.

THE POINT GOLF COURSE (3.5
miles north of Wright Memorial Bridge), 252-491-8388; Offers
scenic views of the Currituck Sound as well as a beautifully
manicured course designed for golfers of all skill levels.

challenges for all golfers with playability for the less
experienced, this course is a great family bargain.

THE CAROLINA CLUB (13.5
miles north of Wright Memorial Bridge), 252-453-3588; Located in Grandy just 20
minutes from Kitty Hawk, this 7,006 yard, par 72
championship course is the longest in the area and boasts
slick greens, plush fairways and tees that are normally
reserved for PGA Tour courses. Tee times available 3 months
in advance. Call for rates, which range from $35 to $90.
