Bonner Bridge replacement project The Federal Highway Administration signed a Record of Decision (ROD) that clears the way for the North Carolina Department of Transportation to move ahead with the construction of a replacement for the aging Herbert C. Bonner Bridge across Oregon Inlet.

Kitty Hawk's Walmart to expand into Supercenter - Walmart will add about 30,000 square feet to its Kitty Hawk store - including space for a new grocery area. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall with completion in the spring. An outdoor garden center also will increase by about 2,000 square feet.
